What can I expect?
Collect your e-Bike at the station or collection point and start your journey in the countryside travelling along the boarder between East Sussex and Kent. Ride through the trees and winding country lanes towards The Spa Railway, High Rocks Halt. To save operating costs a number of halts were opened in East Sussex from 1906 with the introduction of single carriage railmotors fitted with mechanically worked controls to enable them to be hauled or propelled by small tank locomotives. These halts were served only by railmotors; one of these was at High Rocks between Tunbridge Wells and Groombridge. This route will take you to the Halt which closed on 16.10.1939.
Continue on to Royal Tunbridge Wells and visit the Pantiles. Retaining much of its original charm and grandeur of its Georgian heyday, The Pantiles and the surrounding area today remain a favoured destination for those who want to enjoy elegant surroundings just a short distance from the hustle and bustle of London. The Pantiles was created following the discovery of a chalybeate spring in the early 17th century and is now arguably better known for its famous Jazz nights, diverse boutique shops and mix of popular cafes, restaurants and bars.
The stylish architecture and the beautiful commons form the back drop to a truly inspirational shopping and dining destination.
Follow on this circular route to your final stop The Wildwood Vineyard take a guided tour around the vineyard and enjoy trying some of their wines. Also included in this e-bike tour is a cheese pairing platter locally sourced in East Sussex.
