What can I expect?

Are you a fan of Steam Trains? Take an exploration on the electric bike around the area of Tunbridge Wells to Eridge, dedicated to The Spa Valley Railway this tour will take you along the route. The Spa Valley Railway is a standard gauge heritage railway in England that now runs from Tunbridge Wells West railway station to High Rocks, Groombridge, and Eridge.  This once busy line used to run direct services to the South Coast at Brighton and Eastbourne and to London Victoria. As the motor industry grew, patrons to this line slowly declined and so in 1950 these lines began to close. The East Grinstead to Lewes line closed in 1958, then the Cuckoo Line in 1965, the Three Bridges to Groombridge in 1967, and finally the Wealden Line south of Uckfield in 1969. The line between Tunbridge Wells and Eridge was itself listed for closure in 1966 but it remained open and can still be enjoyed today.

This tour crosses the Kent and East Sussex border and will take you into Tunbridge Wells neighbouring villages, steeping in history. Our electric bikes will allow you to travel almost effortlessly to various famous landmarks and countryside wildlife the local area has to offer.

Included in this tour is entrance to the High Rocks, dating back millions of years acres of breath taking sandstone rocks interlinked with eleven bridges, enjoy a scenic cycle in a tranquil woodland setting. Once a stone age camp, now a National Monument these impressive rocks, which belong to The High Rocks complex, have always been a constant source of wonder.  There is just so much to see on this journey, as well as historic Steam train lines and ancient rocks, cross into Sussex and explore the wildlife.

This route allows time to stop and enjoy lunch at one of our recommended eateries. With the option to view via an app or a printable map, our routes have been designed to ensure you can’t go wrong. With helpful photos and pin-pointed areas of interest you will be sure to confidently explore on this self-guided ebike tour with no pre-existing knowledge of the area.

Our team are also on hand to provide additional telephone support should you need us!
