Your information belongs to you so it is important we keep your information safe. We are a fully Licensed independent Private Hire operator authorised by Sevenoaks Council.

INTRODUCTION
Data protection law makes sure everyone’s data is used properly and legally. In accordance with GDPR, Country Hire and Go are registered with the ICO.
Country Hire and Go obtains directly from its customers or a person on their behalf a name, address and telephone number for the purpose of booking and delivering electric bike hire and private hire taxi services.
YOUR DATA
For the purpose of booking electric bike hire, advanced payment is made via the company website with access to secure on line payment.
A secure mobile payment scheme is provided by SumUp to enable card payments on board our Private Hire vehicles where customers bank details are processed by a third party. Country Hire and Go have no access to customers bank details from the on board card reader or on line payment process. The SDK and API Switch handle all communication with SumUp’s Card Terminal(s) via Bluetooth (BLE 4.0). No sensitive data will ever be passed through or stored on the mobile phone that retains the SumUp App. All data is encrypted by the card terminal which is certified by the relevant payment industry groups (PCI, EMV I & II, Visa, MasterCard and Amex).
We process home and work addresses, temporary accommodation addresses, telephone/mobile numbers and e-mail addresses and photographic identification. We respect our customers privacy by processing personal data in accordance with statutory and industry requirements to enable our company to provide safe and secure personal services. We restrict access and usage of customers personal data processing only for the purpose of ensuring quality travel arrangements. We do not sell or exchange customers personal data. We share contact details with other parties save for exceptional circumstances*
This Privacy policy includes protecting stored information and information shared between the driver and passenger ensuring confidentiality, save for information or observations that may raise public protection and safeguarding concerns. In these situations Country Hire and Go have a duty of care and obligation to report suspicious and criminal behaviour or activity and welfare concerns for vulnerable adults and children.
A booking accepted by telephone, or otherwise verbally, is a lawful agreement and we will honour that agreement to the best of our ability. In unforeseen circumstances our vehicles maybe unable to fulfil a booking. In this instance Country Hire and Go will notify customers at the earliest point and in addition may make alternative arrangements on behalf of the customer to ensure the least disruption to passengers journeys. *In this instance customer details may be shared with a fully licensed organisation and on the agreement they abide by Country Hire and Go Privacy Policy.
Country Hire and Go will retain records for each booking;
The source/name of the booking and by whom the entry was made
The time it was received and contact details offered by the customer.
Pick up and destination points, the time a journey commences and ends.
The vehicle used, the driver employed.
The fare quoted at the time of booking and the fare actually charged where the fare was different.
Any other relevant information to meet the objectives of the company.

RETAINING YOUR DATA

For security purposes, customers are required to produce photographic identification when hiring Country Hire and Go electric bikes (passport or driving license is acceptable). A digital copy of the ID will be taken only when the bikes are delivered and then stored only for the duration of the hire. Except where an incident has been reported by either the hirer, a representative or employee of Country Hire and Go or a member of the public, Police or other recognised emergency services, it will be stored long enough to manage and settle any potential or actual claim or liability*.
