A Christmas Frost at Knole

What Can You Expect?

Experience the beauty of the Kent countryside on this scenic Sevenoaks Weald E-bike tour. Glide effortlessly up Bayley’s Hill with pedal assistance while enjoying spectacular views across the Weald Valley.

As you approach Sevenoaks, ride alongside the historic Knole Deer Park, home to hundreds of wild deer for over 500 years. Established in 1456 by Archbishop Bourchier, this medieval park is the last of its kind in Kent — once used for deer hunting, now a haven for wildlife and walkers alike.

Explore Knole House This Christmas

ey Park your E-bike and climb the spiral stairs of the Gatehouse Tower for panoramic views of the parkland and festive scenes. Inside Knole House, the Great Hall welcomes you with a roaring fire, sparkling Christmas tree, seasonal table displays, and carols filling the air — recreating the warmth of a historic winter’s day.

Continue through the Ballroom, Reynolds Room, Cartoon Gallery, and King’s Room, adorned with frost-themed decorations and glittering trees inspired by Knole’s silver collection. Objects usually tucked away in the King’s Room take centre stage alongside grand trees draped in silver and frosted ornaments.

Shopping & Festive Treats

Knole also features two on-site shops perfect for Christmas gifts and festive treats:

  • Gift Shop: Decorations, jewellery, throws, cushions, toiletries, jams, pickles, biscuits, and seasonal items like mince pies, Christmas puddings, chutneys, and festive drinks.

  • Bookshop: A wide selection of books on gardening, history, art, cooking, local area guides, plus children’s activity sets, calendars, diaries, and greetings cards.

Every purchase supports the conservation of Knole, helping preserve its historic collection for future generations.

Continue Your Ride Through Kent

After exploring Knole, continue your E-bike journey through the quaint village of Stone Street towards Ightham, fully immersing yourself in a Kent Christmas adventure. End your ride with a stop at one of our recommended local pubs for a well-earned tipple.
